LifeNet's ambulance service is dedicated to providing the highest quality patient
care in both emergency and non-emergency situations. With its origins as an
air ambulance program, the ground ambulance service has expanded into a nationally accredited
regional provider.
Our ground ambulance personnel accomplish this mission by maintaining the highest
possible level of training and using the latest state of the art equipment. Our
ground ambulance personnel average over eight years of field experience.
The company provides continual and on-going refresher training and continuing
education on current and new technologies.
Both of LifeNet's regional communication centers provide pre-arrival instructions. All 911 and 7-digit callers have immediate contact with personnel trained in the use of Medical Priority Dispatch.
LifeNet also assists in the original training and continuing education of
first responders in several areas of the counties we serve. All personnel are
state certified at their level of performance and most have achieved national
certification.
The ground ambulance program is functionally separated into two divisions. The Garland County Division which includes Garland County and the City of Hot Springs. The Texarkana division includes Little
River County, Red River County, Bowie County,
Cass County, and the Texarkana / Miller County Area.
In the Texarkana division, LifeNet is able to maintain low response times by utilizing the concept called system status management (SSM) SSM is the science of matching demand for service with the supply of ambulances. Effective use of this concept allows LifeNet to improve operational efficiency, improve customer satisfaction, and keep costs under control.
Operationally, LifeNet increases
overall service to each area we serve by using ambulances available in one area
to back up another during the short time frames when the request for service increases
dramatically in a short time period.
Ambulances are staffed using a variety of shifts. (12-hour, 11-hour, 9-hour, or 24-hour) This allows us to better meet the demand for service while providing staff with a variety of shifts that they can work.
