LifeNet is serious about community education. LifeNet is very familiar with the responsibility of providing excellent public education programs to area residents. The strides already made by LifeNet’s staff demonstrate the company’s abilities and concerns in this area. LifeNet will continue its commitment to working with other community-based organizations to develop programs specific to the needs of their respective missions. LifeNet has a proven track record of working with organizations such as the American Heart Association, M.A.D.D., area fire departments, schools, and health care organizations. Together with LifeNet, these groups have provided CPR classes, heightened DWI awareness and provide information to area residents.

Since 1993, LifeNet has provided quality medical transportation to area residents. By providing this service, the company has established a community trust that extends beyond a mere business relationship. LifeNet personnel participate in service organizations and community projects, provide aggressive community education programs and actively participate in community leadership.

By identifying customer needs, designing programs to meet those needs and communicating the availability of programs, LifeNet effectively meets the challenge of providing exemplary service to the communities they serve.

LifeNet strongly believes that each citizen should be given the opportunity to actively participate in the EMS system by learning life-saving skills. As the community’s ambulance service, LifeNet provides this opportunity through numerous on-going educational programs. Progressive community education and public information programs have been implemented to teach the general public how to access the system and what to do until professional help arrives. LifeNet’s programs stress preventive health care and safety measures for target populations to reduce the number of serious injuries and illness in the community.

Operation Prom Night dramatizes the effects of drinking and driving and is presented to the area high school seniors. The program portrays the carnage associated with alcohol related accidents that EMS, Law Enforcement, and Fire Departments face in the performance of their daily duties.

In Grim Reaper, a student is called to front of the classroom to be taken out on a stretcher after the "Grim Reaper" tells the class the reason for the student ‘s death. Because statistics say that every 10 minutes a person is killed by alcohol or drug related incident a student is called out continually during the school day every 10 minutes. Once selected, the "dead students" cannot talk to anyone but the teacher. This is done to raise awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving.

Through prevention awareness programs taught by LifeNet personnel – seat belt safety is highly emphasized. Prevention programs are taught in daycare, schools, and at community service promotions.
