Cody started his career with LifeNet in 2018 and is currently an EMT in our Stillwater Division.
“I started my career in EMS because I wanted to make a positive and powerful impact in my community. At LifeNet, I’m given that opportunity every day,” he said. “For me, EMS is not just a career, it’s a calling to achieve great things through medicine.”
There are several things Cody enjoys about his career as an Emergency Medical Technician.
“I really love the challenges we face in EMS. The opportunity to come to work every day, solve problems and help those in the community drives me every day to continually improve my education and skill set to provide top-notch emergency care,” he said. “Serving the public and working beside some of the most dedicated professionals I have ever met is just the icing on the cake.”
Family and professionalism are the two things he enjoys most about working at LifeNet.
“Coming to work at LifeNet, I have noticed a huge difference from other EMS companies which is the unprecedented level of professionalism our employees possess,” he said. “Additionally, the brotherhood that surrounds EMS, and especially at LifeNet, is truly an extension of family. We work as a family, we achieve goals as a family, and we celebrate one another as a family. I’m certainly proud to be a part of the LifeNet family.”
For others considering a career in EMS, Cody offers this advice: “Beginning a career in EMS will undoubtedly change your life. The experiences gained and the opportunities to serve those around you will have a profound impact on your professional and personal life. My advice is, do it. You’ll never regret the training you receive, whether you choose to pursue a career in EMS or not, the life-saving knowledge is invaluable.”
When he is not at work, Cody enjoys spending time with his family, with his friends, and with his dog, Truman.
