Employee Spotlight: Doug Davey
Division: Hot Springs, AR
Doug has spent the last 12.5 years working as an EMT in our Hot Springs, AR Division. It is a career path he attributes to a few missing credit hours during college.
“I was finishing up my degree at Henderson and needed six more hours to keep my financial aid. I found the EMT class at Garland County Community College (GCCC), and Henderson was nice enough to allow me to attend GCCC during my last semester. EMT class sounded fun, so I took it,” Doug explained.
In addition to working for LifeNet, Doug is also the Fire Chief at Lake Hamilton Fire & Rescue.
“When I do have free time, I enjoy spending time on the lake with my beautiful wife and kids,” he said.
Like many in EMS, the things Doug enjoys the most about his career include helping and meeting new people.
For others considering a career in EMS, Doug has solid advice, “Continue your education and stay healthy both physically and mentally.”
