Kelly’s interest in working in the medical field started in high school, but it wasn’t a career field she would pursue until a bit later in her life.
“I decided to join the military. Even though I was not in the medical field, the military encapsulated my interests. I chose to train in music, civil engineering, and logistics. Outside of my military life, I also worked in banking/accounting,” she said.
A decade later, she decided to embark on a career in EMS as a dispatcher.
“I have no regrets. EMS is thrilling and rewarding. I start EMT school in a few weeks. Not only am I helping others and constantly learning, the opportunities are endless. The family I have gained is a bonus,” said Kelly.
Kelly and her husband, BJ, have two daughters, Miley and Lynzi. The family also has two dogs, two cats, and three pigs.
When Kelly isn’t at work, she enjoys support her children in their extracurricular actitives, racing, fishing, and sports.
