Kaitlin is an EMT at LifeNet in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She joined our company in 2019.
“I wanted to become an EMT so I could help people on their worst day. People don’t call 911 when things are good. If I can bring a calmness to a chaotic situation, then I’ve done my job well,” she said, explaining why she decided on a career in EMS.
Kaitlin enjoys the unpredictability of the medical calls she responds to.
“I love not knowing when tones will drop. I also love helping people,” she said.
For others considering a career in EMS, Kaitlin offers this advice: “Don’t be afraid to ask questions, get thick skin, and don’t take things personally. If you need to talk to someone, don’t be scared to do so.”
When she is not at work, Kaitlin enjoys playing guitar, working with horses, helping friends remodel their houses, and volunteering at her church.
