LifeNet field crew attend a fixed wing medical transport class to earn certification to fly patients via fixed wing transport. This week, medical crews in our Texarkana Division had the opportunity to attend a training course preparing them to fly patients on our fixed wing.

LifeNet utilizes a Piper Cheyenne 2 twin-engine turboprop plane, which is operated by Airborne Air Ambulance and based at the airport in Texarkana, Arkansas (TXK). The aircraft is a FAA-certified air ambulance. Additional space in the airplane often allows a family member to fly with the patient.

We utilize a two-person medical team on all flights.
