On the morning of September 21, 2012, seven-year-old Hannah Martin was waiting to be picked up by the school bus in Garland County when tragedy struck. She was killed when the school bus accidentally ran her over at the bus stop.
The early morning darkness is one of the factors that is believed to have caused the tragic accident. LifeNet’s medical crews who responded to the scene were deeply impacted by what they saw and wanted to do something to help prevent another tragedy like Hannah’s from occurring.
For the last seven years, through community donations, LifeNet has been able to coordinate and donate 6500 flashing lights each year for kids to wear on their backpacks while waiting for the school bus across Garland and Hot Spring Counties. The lights are known as “Hannah’s Light” in memory of this precious little girl.
This year we are asking area businesses to either sponsor a school district or make a general donation. In return for your support at the $250 level or higher, your business will be recognized as a sponsor of the program on the flyers we send home with each student. Should you decide to sponsor an entire district or campus, we will invite you with us to make the presentation of the lights to the school principals. In order to be included on the flyers or in a presentation, your donation must be received by September 23, 2019. Sponsorships of specific districts will be awarded on a first-come-first-serve basis.
As a non-profit organization, your donation to LifeNet, Inc. for the Hannah’s Lights program is tax-deductible. No donation amount is too small.
After completing the form on this page, you’ll be directed to our GoFundMe page to make the sponsorship payment. Alternatively, you can request we send you an invoice so you can pay by check. Should you have any questions, please call 903-556-0301 or email email@example.com. Thank you for your consideration.
