On September 7, 2018, LifeNet had the opportunity to inspire a new generation to become EMTs and Paramedics at the Learning Endorsements and Professions (LEAP) Youth Career Expo in Texarkana.  The event was held at the Texarkana Convention Center.

We visited with eighth grade students from Cass County and Bowie County about EMS careers as they toured our ambulance and learned bystander CPR.

The career expo is designed to provide career information to 8th grade students who will be asked to select an endorsement during the spring semester, prior to starting high school.

There are 5 endorsements:

  1. Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)
  2. Business and Industry
  3. Public Services
  4. Arts and Humanities, and
  5. Multidisciplinary.
