When you call LifeNet to request a fixed wing patient transport, our team will take care of coordinating the logistics. Our fixed wing air ambulance is used for inter-facility transfers when the patient needs care that is not available at the sending facility and can transport patients of any age with virtually any medical condition.
LifeNet utilizes a Piper Cheyenne 2 twin-engine turboprop plane, which is operated by Airborne Air Ambulance and based at the airport in Texarkana, Arkansas (TXK). The aircraft is a FAA-certified air ambulance. Additional space in the airplane often allows a family member to fly with the patient.
We utilize a two-person medical team on all flights, which includes a LifeNet EMT and paramedic.
Our team will work with your insurance to submit your claim and limit the out-of-pocket cost of your medical flight.
