LifeNet EMS had the opportunity this year to play a small part in the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department’s 27th Annual Cops and Kids Dinner.  This year organizers invited the LifeNet Grinch to come out and greet kids and entertain them while they were waiting in the serving line to get their meal.

The event is hosted by the local police department for kids from the Arkansas Baptist Orphanage and Watersprings Ranch.  The children and picked up in police cars and escorted with lights and sirens to the Four States Fair & Rodeo grounds for a night of fun and fellowship.

In addition to the LifeNet Grinch, children also got to meet Santa Clause and Ms. Clause.  Additionally, the kids got to enjoy crafts provided by Michael’s Stores, video games by Hypecon, a photo booth from Bill’s Movers , popcorn, cotton candy, a candy table, and a Nerf Gun station.

The event is put on each year with the support of the Texarkana Arkansas Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association and Pink Behind The Thin Blue Line.
