The triple-digit temperatures in the forecast for the next several days mean dangerous conditions, especially for people working outside or without air conditioning.

Here are a few ways to lower your risk of being a victim of heat exhaustion or heat stroke:

1. STAY HYDRATED
Drink plenty of water throughout the day.

2. LIMIT OUTDOOR ACTIVITY
Strenuous outdoor activity should be done very early in the morning or later in the evening

3. DRESS APPROPRIATELY 
Wear light colored, loose fitting clothing and apply sunblock when outdoors

4. STAY COOL
Spend the hottest part of the day inside

5. LEARN THE SIGNS OF HEAT STRESS
Know the signs of heat exhaustion or heat stroke. Call 9-1-1 immediately if you think you are having a heat stroke
